Why is my car still fogged up after polishing? You've overlooked these three details.
If imperfections are not thoroughly removed after polishing, fillers will temporarily mask surface defects, making the paint appear shiny but not genuine. After application, a wax remover should be used to check for complete removal of imperfections, ensuring the authenticity of the polishing result and preventing false cutting.
During polishing, if the polishing machine speed is too high or the machine's movement speed is too slow, the paint surface temperature may be too high, causing the polishing oil to soften and resulting in over-cutting. It is recommended to use a zoned operation method and apply water-based polishing wax to reduce frictional heat and maintain stable cutting.
Furthermore, the material of the polishing pad and pressure control significantly affect the polishing result. Wool pads have strong cutting force and are suitable for initial polishing; sponge pads are gentle and best suited for the final stage. Excessive pressure will compress the abrasive particles, causing uneven surface reflection and reducing gloss uniformity.
To ensure a genuine polishing effect, it is essential to use a wax remover to check for false cutting caused by fillers, and to precisely control the polishing machine's speed, movement speed, and pressure, using water-based polishing wax and a suitable polishing pad material to avoid over-cutting due to high temperatures softening the polishing oil.
